Volvo Group is a Swedish multinational company focused on trucks, buses, construction equipment, marine and industrial engines, and financial services. It is a separate company from Volvo Cars, which produces passenger vehicles.

The Volvo Group Design System is the foundation for creating consistent, accessible, and brand-aligned digital experiences across the organization. It provides guidelines, reusable components, and resources that make it quicker and easier to design and build seamless user experiences. Used by designers, developers, product owners, project managers, and agencies, the system supports three brands: Volvo, Mack and Renault Trucks. It offers tailored resources for both design (via the Figma Design Kit) and development (via the Storybook Development Kit).

As Senior Experience Designer I focused on strengthening both the structure and adoption of the system, ensuring it became a tool that teams could rely on in their daily work. I worked with the overall structure of the system to make it more intuitive and scalable. I created a series of video tutorials to support designers and developers in learning how to use the system effectively, and I also produced a promotional video to showcase its value across the organization. In parallel, I established a clear contribution process, enabling designers to participate in evolving the system and ensuring that knowledge and ideas could flow back into the shared framework. A part of my work was also writing content for the Volvo Group Design System portal, where I focused on clarity, accessibility, and consistency so that the voice of the system reflected the values of the Volvo Group.
